Desanding hydrocyclone is a kind of clarify equipment adopting centrifugal force to speed up settling of particles. The hydrocyclone needs pressure feeding, so more power cost, but small footprint, low cost, big processing capacity, hi-efficient clarify. More fine overflow product obtained. It is mainly for classification of second stage mine grinding closed cycle.
Desanding hydrocyclone is very easy to install and operation. It is designed to work within a temperature range of up to 80°C. This means that it can handle water of varying temperatures, which is important for many industries.
The slurry enters into the hydrocyclone, under a certain pressure of slurry pump (normally 0.5~2.5kg/cm) and flow rate (about 5~12m/s), and centrifugal force created by spinning. Under the force of centrifugal and gravity, the coarse and heavy particles thrown out.

Desanding hydrocyclone is mainly applied for classifying, separation, concentration and desliming in mine processing. When hydrocyclone combined with grinding machine, is used for classifying system. When for desliming, it used for heavy metal desliming. When applied in concentration and dewatering, it can do the tailings treatment and recycle.
